To meet user needs for compact cameras, Nikon one of the Japan's leading camera manufacturers reportedly is preparing a new camera and known as the Coolpix L610. This pocket superzoom camera is perfect for those of you who like to travel and has a uniqueness that it uses AA batteries. As we all know, the AA batteries are usually identical to the entry-level camera with less features, while the latest camera from Nikon has advanced features.
The new Coolpix camera is equipped with a backside illuminated CMOS sensor with resolution of 16 megapixels, a NIKKOR ED lens, and also supports Full-HD 1080p video recording. This camera come with 3" LCD display, 14x optical zoom capability and equivalent with focal length 25-350mm in 35mm camera format.
The lens also supports close-ups image capture and macros with proximity to the subject up to 1cm, thus providing flexibility to the user creations, both to capture long-distance and capture the subject detail at close range.
The Coolpix L610 has a Easy Auto Mode feature, which allows novice photographers easily select the best mode for shooting conditions, and also offers several features such as Optical VR Image Stabilization to minimize blur caused by hand shake, and a choice of scene modes consist of Portrait, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night landscape, Close-up and Backlighting.
According to some sources this camera will be launched in September 2012 at a price of $ 249.95.
